Erika personally knows what it takes to jump from market 205 to network. She started her broadcasting career as a Weekend Meteorologist/Reporter in Victoria, Texas, then quickly made her way to a national platform forecasting for the 24/7 weather network, WeatherNation. From there she continued to rise in the industry as a well-connected and respected meteorologist.
She advanced from the Morning Meteorologist at KVUE in Austin, TX to the 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. newscasts at KHOU, in Houston, Texas. After experiencing what it takes to forecast and cover one of the most intense weather markets in the country, Erika was asked to return to KVUE as the station’s first female Chief Meteorologist and one of the youngest Chief Meteorologists in the market.
