Betty Sexton puts her more than 35 years of award-winning journalism experience as a television anchor/investigative/consumer reporter to work for you.

In addition to being recognized as a Citizen Broadcaster of the Year in Colorado, she has also won numerous awards, including Emmys, AP’s, and several Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado Broadcasters Awards.

Her well known crime segments led to special recognition by the Kansas City Crime Commission for her role in helping police solve hundreds of criminal cases.

Betty’s consumer reporting led to a popular newspaper column at the Colorado Springs Gazette, warning readers about the latest scams and fraudulent schemes.

Besides heading up a team of consumer volunteers, Betty also headlined in-person seminars, imparting valuable financial information to her audiences. The office of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration said Betty was the first U.S. reporter to warn of the IRS phone impersonation scam.
