Tara Mergener puts her more than 20 years of award-winning journalism experience as a network correspondent and primary anchor to work for you.
Tara Mergener is an award-winning journalist who spent the majority of her career as a network correspondent. She worked at CBS Newspath for many years, reporting for all CBS platforms, including CBS News and CBS affiliates throughout the nation. Tara also reported at CNN, Hearst’s Washington, D.C. Bureau and was a contributor on Full Court Press with Greta Van Susteren.
Tara has won dozens of awards for her investigative and political reporting, including a national Edward R. Murrow award, multiple regional Edward R. Murrow awards, Headliner Foundation’s Best Reporter in Texas, Texas Associated Press Broadcasters awards and an Emmy. She has traveled the country covering some of the biggest stories of our generation.
After her national reporting made Tara a household name, she moved to a primary anchor position in Texas, anchoring three dominant number one evening newscasts and leading the station’s investigative, political and national reporting.
Tara is an expert storyteller and loves sharing her passion for journalism with her clients.

She earned a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Boston University.
